"Zahav Ben Yaakov" - RETIRED JANUARY 2012
Zahav is now retired, and has just been neutered. Zahav is our very handsome longhair clear cream male born in the summer of 2006. He has the exceptionally sweet and loving temperament that English cream dachshunds are becoming so famous for. Zahav is currently available for adoption to the right pet home. He is a very friendly, playful and fun-loving dog. He has a great personality and gets along with everyone! He is currently a yard dog, and sleeps at night in the garage with his pal HaTikvah. Zahav would make a great companion for an older child who would enjoy a playmate that loves to play and fetch. He is almost always can be seen carrying a toy around the back yard.
"Grendox HaTikvah of Jo-Jac"
HaTikvah (his name means "The Hope") is our beautiful young male from Grendox Dachshunds in Kentucky, born in December of 2010. "Tiki" has classic English cream coloring. He was almost black as a young pup, and has beautifully dark and expressive eyes. Tiki is extremely sweet and intelligent, and is an absolute joy! We are hoping that he will sire his first litter in early 2012.
"Schreiber's Kathryn Elizabeth"
Lizbeth is a beautiful longhair chocolate-based red female, a daughter of the famous imported English Cream sire WaterWorld which makes her a half sister to our Shugar. On her mother's side she is a granddaughter of Carmel's sire and shares his amazing eye color, though she is a true miniature at 11 pounds. Lizbeth is 4 years old and currently on loan from Schreiber's Dachshund Ranch to give us a litter of puppies this spring sired by HaTikvah. If all goes well with this litter, we plan for Lizbeth to become a permanent member of our dachshund family.
"Jo-Jac's Shira Todah"
Shira is our gorgeous show-quality smooth cream female, and my pride and joy! She is sweet and exceptionally intelligent, and has the most endearing personality of any dog I have ever known! Shira's my baby and lovingly spoiled, my daughters jokingly call her their "sister"! Shira was born on Thanksgiving day in 2006, her name means “Thanksgiving Song”.
"Jo-Jac's Shugar 'N' Cream"
Shugar is our beautiful "sugar frosted" smooth cream female. Shugar is Shira's first-born daughter, born in August of 2008 and sired by the renowned English imported longhair cream, WaterWorld. Shugar carries longhair recessively from her father. Her last litter was delivered by C-Section in the spring of 2011, and will not be bred again until sometime in 2012.
"Peyton Noel" - RETIRED IN 2010
Noel, the foundation dam of the Jo-Jac Dachshunds, is now retired. She is Trooper's mother. Noel was born on Christmas day in 2001 and named accordingly! Noel has been spayed and adopted by a dachshund loving family in our neighborhood.
"Little Miss Trooper" -RETIRED IN 2011
Miss Trooper is our longhair chocolate & tan female. She is Noel’s first longhair daughter. Trooper was born in 2004 and survived the dire “drain incident” at two days of age – with the help of the local fire department! Trooper has been spoiled from birth and is convinced that she’s human. Trooper now lives a life of leisure full-time with my mom and sister, where she is spoiled to her heart's content.
"Jo-Jac's Carmel Cappachino" - RETIRED IN 2011
Carmel, now retired, has been neutered and adopted by a family in our neighborhood with two other dachsund playmates for him. Carmel matured into a beautiful small standard chocolate-based red weighing between 15 and 16 pounds, and was just too large for our miniature dachshund breeding program. HaTikvah has taken his place as our young stud.
